Get Connected or Go Home!
Long about the 3rd week of school, new students are either getting connected with new friends and new experiences or they begin the process of hating school and going home. It’s true, those that get connected early have the greatest chances for graduating. Those that are still just hanging around the dorm room and not making new friends have a low chance of even completing the semester.
At Chi Alpha, we want to help. We offer several ways to get connect from our clay pigeon shotgun shooting to our Bonfire, from our small groups (called core groups) to $1 Dinner on Fridays, and from our Tuesday night XA meeting to our XA house were you can come hang out, play pool, use free wireless, play sand volleyball or just find a place to study. Please get connected for your own good!
Here are a few up and coming activities to help you GET CONNECTED…
Mon - Upper classman womens core group @ 8:30pm
Tues - XA main meeting @ 7:30pm
Wed - Mens Core @ 7pm or International Student Conversation Group @ 8pm
Thurs - Both mens and womens core groups (evenings)
Fri - Screen on the Green (our outdoor movie adventure) @ 8pm
Sat - MSU Football Concessions

Summer XA
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God (1 Cor 10:31)
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…(Colossians 3:17)
Sometimes summer break happens….As the days of summer role on, we spend our days working hard to make enough money to get through school, floating the cool river while soaking up the warm sunshine, and being away from our closest friends who help us succeed, we can find ourselves wrapped up into our own little world. Many times without the friendships our small groups and weekend activities offer, we fall into a day to day mindset, never taking a moment to “really” focus on God. God can become someone, like our classmates, that we will get back to in fall. Don’t forget the living and powerful impact the Word of God (Bible) can and should have in our lives. Never neglect the goodness of time together in fellowship.
XA Summer Fellowship still meets every Tuesday night at 7:30pm for study, prayer, worship and togetherness. We meet at 1212 So. 6th St. across from the EPS building on the east side of MSU campus. Occasionally, we have a work night in preparation for the Fall influx of students in lieu of worship time.
Leaders Retreat
Calling all leaders! Remember the Leaders retreat begins Fri, Aug 17th at 8pm at the XA house. Bring sleeping bag, toiletries, Bible, notebook, calendar, pen, $20, etc. We will conclude at 9pm on Mon, Aug 20th. We have powerful speakers coming to teach, train and pray with us…..RSVP by Tues, Aug 14th at timbo@msuxa.org (we need to purchase food for you.)
Who we are
Chi Alphans are simply college students commited to seeking the face of God. We desire to know God and make Him known at Montana State University. We meet in the new Chi Alpha House located right across the street from campus. These meetings are opportunities for students to meet God, each other, and the needs of the community.
Our name
Even though our name suggests it we are not a fraternity or a sorority.
In the Bible, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." Inspired by this verse we chose the phrase "christou apostoloi," meaning "Christ's sent ones," to represent who we are. The Greek letters Chi (X) and Alpha (A) are the initials of this phrase, which reminds us that we should live to reflect Jesus' life.
Mission
Our mission is simple: we desire to reconcile students to Christ, to transform our university and then send those students out to transform the world!
We do this by worship, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and mission. We value Integrity, Servant Leadership, Excellence, Community, Diversity, and Creativity.
Ministries
There are several ways for you to get involved in Chi Alpha. We have girls and guys bible studies, worship with drama and music, dollar dinner friday, mission trips, retreats, international student friendship, and so much more.
