All tha happenings!

The fall semester is winding down, but Chi Alpha sure isn’t!

There is so much going on before you go home to overindulge in turkey, stuffing and of course pumpkin pie. Sure, Christmas at home with mom is going to be amazing, but so will the next few events at Chi Alpha.

Friday night, November 14th at 7:30 pm we are having our FIRST EVER cold butts and beer. No explanation needed here-well you should know we are talking root beer, but the rest is a secret! Come to the Chi Alpha house at 7:30 with a $1 and prepare to be amazed!

And sooo sorry folks, no Chi Alpha on November 25th, the Tuesday before Chi Alpha. We will all be home preparing our stomachs for the massive quantities of food we are about to ingest.

Then in just a couple of more weeks, it’s Christmas Banquet time! Come enjoy a night with the King. Fabulous food, fun, skits, dancing and don’t forget lemon bars. For the very low price of just $20 you will enjoy an amazing night at the Holiday Inn. Come to Chi Alpha any Tuesday night and buy your ticket. Don’t forget to get all dressed up. You may feel silly coming to a semi-formal wearing jeans.

Last but certainly not least, the World Missions Summit is quickly approaching and you should seriously go! It’s an event where literally THOUSANDS of Chi Alphans from across the world are getting together for a missions conference. It’s guaranteed to change your life. Get more information here www.twms.ag.org. There is a van going from Bozeman to Ohio for the event. Can you say ROAD TRIP! The benefits seriously outway the cost. So GO GO GO! If you want more information, talk to or email Timbo.

Who we are

Chi Alphans are simply college students commited to seeking the face of God. We desire to know God and make Him known at Montana State University. We meet in the new Chi Alpha House located right across the street from campus. These meetings are opportunities for students to meet God, each other, and the needs of the community.

Our name

Even though our name suggests it we are not a fraternity or a sorority.

In the Bible, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." Inspired by this verse we chose the phrase "christou apostoloi," meaning "Christ's sent ones," to represent who we are. The Greek letters Chi (X) and Alpha (A) are the initials of this phrase, which reminds us that we should live to reflect Jesus' life.

Mission

Our mission is simple: we desire to reconcile students to Christ, to transform our university and then send those students out to transform the world!

We do this by worship, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and mission. We value Integrity, Servant Leadership, Excellence, Community, Diversity, and Creativity.

Ministries

There are several ways for you to get involved in Chi Alpha. We have girls and guys bible studies, worship with drama and music, dollar dinner friday, mission trips, retreats, international student friendship, and so much more.
