Christmas Banquet: Fri, Dec 7th
Every year we put on our best stylin’ attire and strut our stuff. It is a time to celebrate Christmas together with good food, funny skits, strange gifts and graceful dancing. It all starts at 6pm on Friday, Dec 7th at the Holiday Inn off North 7th and Baxter across from Walmart. The cost is a mere $18 per person and you must purchase your ticket in advance by Tuesday, Dec 4th. If you have any questions contact Kelly at kelly@kellychialpha.com.
S.A.L.T. (Student Activist Leadership Training)
It all begins on Tues, Jan 8th in Butte, MT. Students from 13 different universities from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Idaho all gather to worship, learn, grow and fellowship all to “know Jesus and make Him known”. Intimate times of worship combined with dynamic teaching and relationship building are only parts of this annual XA conference. In the afternoon you can attend empowering workshops provided by the campus ministers from around the country. We also have incredible afternoon games and activities and lots of free time. You get your meals, hotel room and S.A.L.T. registration all for only $160. You can register online at bigskysalt.com. Make your plans and get ready for something special!
Who we are
Chi Alphans are simply college students commited to seeking the face of God. We desire to know God and make Him known at Montana State University. We meet in the new Chi Alpha House located right across the street from campus. These meetings are opportunities for students to meet God, each other, and the needs of the community.
Our name
Even though our name suggests it we are not a fraternity or a sorority.
In the Bible, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." Inspired by this verse we chose the phrase "christou apostoloi," meaning "Christ's sent ones," to represent who we are. The Greek letters Chi (X) and Alpha (A) are the initials of this phrase, which reminds us that we should live to reflect Jesus' life.
Mission
Our mission is simple: we desire to reconcile students to Christ, to transform our university and then send those students out to transform the world!
We do this by worship, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and mission. We value Integrity, Servant Leadership, Excellence, Community, Diversity, and Creativity.
Ministries
There are several ways for you to get involved in Chi Alpha. We have girls and guys bible studies, worship with drama and music, dollar dinner friday, mission trips, retreats, international student friendship, and so much more.
